·         Shares of AIG (AIG 59.38, +5.05, +9.30%)  hit a 52-week high earlier Monday after the insurer secured $4.3 billion in credit facilities.

·         After Monday’s closing bell, the Securities and Exchange Commission said that Alcatel-Lucent (ALU2.86, -0.03, -1.04%)   (FR:ALU 2.20, +0.03, +1.57%)  will pay $137 million to settle charges it paid bribes to secure contracts in Latin America and Asia.

·         AMD (AMD 8.05, +0.01, +0.12%)  said it will shift its accounting practices on its stake in spinoff GlobalFoundries Inc. The move to cost-based accounting comes following a contribution from ATIC International Investment Co. to GlobalFoundries
